@adytum_official: When you stand, blood flow to your brain can drop even when heart rate and blood pressure look normal. In a study of 429 ME/CFS patients, 82% of those with normal vitals still crossed into an abnormal drop, and everyone whose heart raced into POTS range did too. A separate small study tied it to thinking: people got about 8 in 10 on a memory task lying down, but about 3 in 10 standing up. Honest notes: these were ME/CFS patients, not a general sample, the memory study was tiny (about a dozen people), and this brain-blood-flow test isn’t standard yet. I think it should be. That part’s my opinion. Not a doctor, and this isn’t medical advice. Sources: van Campen CLMC, et al. Clin Neurophysiol Pract. 2020;5:50-58. PMID 32140630 Stewart JM, et al. I only pass out after I have gotten up and walked about 3-4 steps. The tilt table test doesn't replicate that. 😞

I have POTS diagnosis and on the days where my heart rate isn’t getting as high as usual I genuinely feel so much worse and I’ve blacked out 2 times due to it. When I blacked out my heart rate data showed my heart rate dropping drastically and then shooting up super high.
