@exchangingtheworld: Apparently, if you’re 20 years old and find a mountain swimming hole, you become a mermaid. 🧜‍♀️😂 Skinny Dip Falls absolutely lived up to the hype. It’s a short hike off the Blue Ridge Parkway, and even on a busy day we managed to find a little spot that felt like our own. The water is crystal clear, freezing cold, and the perfect excuse to spend hours doing absolutely nothing productive. Meanwhile, my oldest was living her best mountain mermaid life. Swimming, floating, climbing the rocks, posing under the little waterfall, then starting the whole cycle over again. If you’re anywhere near Asheville or Brevard, add Skinny Dip Falls to your list. I love skinny dip falls but good GOD make sure you get all the water out of your ears!! I got the worst ear infection of my life that turned into cellulitis bc I didn’t get the water out after swimming here (only happened once out of the many times I’ve gone).

After TS Fred hit that area, then Helena it looks very different. Those huge boulders got moved dramatically by the water. It's different but still incredible.
