I'm blind and use an Orcam Read. very similar in size and does exactly the same thing yours does. clever the Orcam can read a full page with just one click. highly recommend checking it out!

I have the orcam learn it is really good because you can scan a whole page at a time and it works for printed or on screen text the cpen is helpful but because you have to scan a line at a time it does take a lot longer and I find it can be hard to work with also the fact that you can't use it on screen for me when I was buying something independently the orcam was a better fit but there are definitely a variety of options out there and it's worth giving it a good look

I love this. I worked in the disability services in college. I remember the first time i told a student this was a thing we could get her. she cried. that was the moment that i understood the importance of accessibility and how it can look different 🥰💜

How easy is it to scan the text? I have shaky hands, and am curious to know how difficult it would be to follow the lines enough for it to read the text.

I read through your comments a bit and I see you're in Ontario do you know how one would go about requesting one of these in Alberta or who I should talk to? My kiddo is about to go into junior high and is a year behind in reading because of theor dyslexia and they keep pushing her through. I can't afford tutors and I feel like this would be such a game changer for them. I actually almost don't even care if I have to get it out of pocket 😅😆
