Preschool teacher here. AS THEY SHOULD. So many parents are not raising their kids right and use permissive parenting or simply stick their kids in front of an iPad.

I agree with is. My kids are well behaved when we go out. I cannot stand kids running around when I’m enjoying dinner with my family. Like I don’t understand how parents can’t see that.

This is not a charge added to EVERY family's ticket just to the ticket of IRRESPONSIBLE PARENTS that DONT parent their children. It's a pretty much a "you break it, you pay for it" or CONSEQUENCES kind of deal.

I feel like the title is a little click-bait-y. The title makes it sound like they charge “fines” for children’s bad behavior, which I disagree with. But they ACTUALLY are charging “damages”, which is completely different and valid. It’s unfair for businesses, especially small businesses to be out hundreds or thousands of dollars because of parents being lazy. I bet if this happened everywhere the parents would actually parent. We know damn well they don’t let their kids do it at home to their own things. As a parent myself, I agree with this 100%.

I'm a mom of a toddler. I SEE NO ISSUE WITH THIS. Only once has my child even made disruptive noise in a restaurant and I was so embarrassed. No way is my child going to be allowed to run around and damage the place.
