the world cup is a sporting event when nearly every country comes together to play football and the only countries that are in the world cup now are England France Morocco Belgium Argentina Switzerland Norway Spain well for the country's I just typed you can pick any just choose wisely.

YouTube has a number of great videos to learn from, but to try and keep it short. Soccer in the United States is Football in most of the rest of the world. it has that name here because Rugby made it to the United States first while both sports were still both using the name football as they developed from the same sport, and eventually turned into American Football and this retained the name. I shall assume you are familiar with how American Football works, so I will proceed to explain Soccer. Soccer is a very simple game where two teams spend 90 minutes attempting to move a ball into a goal, using any part of their body except their arms. The game is played by teams of 11 a side, and the basic strategy is to control possession as best as you can, and move the ball around to try and provoke a reaction from the opposing team that will create an opening that will allow you to score. Should you not find such an opportunity, you hope this has not caused you to lose possession and try to reset to make another attempt. Play is continuous so long as the ball remains inbounds and no one breaks any rules. The game is normally played in two 90 minute halves but this world cup it has been effectively divided into quarters for reasons that are debated. Personally, I cheered for Sweden while they were still in the tournament, but they are eliminated after slightly exceeding my expectations. Now I am cheering for England, though I would also be happy with a win from Morocco or Argentina.
