id add the trial, strangers on a train, the philadelphia story, mr smith goes to washington, destry rides again, harvey, fail safe, 12 angry men, citizen kane, and macbeth. :-) and thosee are just the ones to me that seem objectivley enjoyable, id also reccomend the tin star (henry fonda AND tony perkins!), seventh heaven (the remake, i think its from like 1936 or 37? the one with james stewart)(i get WHY people dont like it, its very preachy, but it's also a really cute romance), navy blue and gold (lowkey military propaganda but i can excuse it for jimmy stewart), and magic town (hahaaa guess what? jimmy stewart.) because they are, in my opinion, decent? not everyone's cup of tea but im not very picky about my movies so i enjoyed them all quite a bit.

There are some more recent black and white movies that are good. Ed Wood and Dead man, both with Johnny Depp. Eraserhead for horror, young Frankenstein was mentioned. Clerks of you like that kind of comedy.
