Oh totally, cats care really good for knowing when you’re out of range, my cat isn’t trained and when I’m low she will always meow at me until I sit down and then bring me a little fake mouse because like she thinks I need to eat. She will also meow at me and take me to her water sometimes and I assume she wants me to have a drink so I get a water bottle and she chills out

Unfortunately a cat isn’t on the ADA list of service animals. They can be ESAs but that’s still a pet. Shes soooooo cute though!

My cat alerts me when my kids are starting to get sick with a cold/flu. Anything. Days before symptoms show. And also alerts my sugar levels but not diabetic. Just insulin resistance periodic lows.

My moms cat woke her up when I slept through my low alarm. My cat lets me know when my blood sugar is spiking before my phone does

Am I supposed to have a service animal? My grammas old cat acted weird before I was diagnosed and then in my first year SHE also had diabetes and then died, the other cat doesn’t like me when I’m high or low, and the dog SCREAMS at me if my blood sugar isn’t perfect….

Wen we get diagnosed with T1D we should be provided with a service animal fr, they would save our life
