First I was on the brothers side. Because it's their wedding so they decide what food will be served. However OP is helping plan the wedding and offered to pay for the substitute food. If you're including people in your wedding, wheter it is in the wedding party or the planning, make sure those people are taken care of, allergies, intolerances etc. Other guests have the option to refuse your invitation if your wedding is not to their liking. You can't do that if you're in the wedding party or helped to plan it. So if you include people in the plans, you include them in the food!
