They don't start recording when they're provoking. They don't start recording when they're insulting. They start recording AFTER you've reached a breaking point and lost it. Because that's the part they want people to see. They want a clip of you screaming, crying, name-calling, or throwing things so when people ask what's going on... They can sit back and say: "Look how crazy they are." So no, they're not recording for their own safety or whatever excuse they give you. They're recording to create evidence for the story they want other people (including you) to believe.
