But it pisses me off when my rats are seen as the dirty, bad pets. If you own a dog I’m not judging you, I simply just dislike dogs very strongly. Cats, I can tolerate, but only certain ones.. dogs? It depends on dog. Your opinion is valid but not all dogs drool excessively and a lot of times they’re trained to be good dog. I personally own a German shepherd as well as 6 reptiles and I one point I did have 4 pet rats. I can say that dogs make amazing pets depending on your lifestyle.

Rats aren't dirty but they get a bad rep bc wild ones are: well trained dogs don't bark "for no reason", drooling depends on the breed but is uncommon, and they are sanitary and groom themselves. Ppl choose dogs for the appeal of their loving attachment and being able to cuddle them. Dogs can lower cortisol just by looking at you, boost immune systems, extend lifespans, improve mental health, alert owners to life threatening events, reduce risk of heart attack and stroke. The are biologically designed to be a companion for humans. Most importantly they can be trained out of any "annoying" habits. PROVE THAT RATS MAKE BETTER PETS OVERALL U CANT WIN

Again, just my OPINION. I know this post will ruffle some feathers so I’m prepared for that. But it’s just an opinion and everyone has a different one, that’s okay. If you want to state your opinion in the comments, you’re welcome to, but I’m not going to continuously argue with someone over dogs VRS rats because in the end, it’s whatever animal YOU prefer. I prefer my exotics, if you prefer cats/dogs that’s your preference.
