@kipsang.lawi: Imagine paying an entire cow just to see your own face. One of the most legends from Gusii history tells of Paramount Chief Musa Nyandusi, father of Simeon Nyachae. He was among the first—if not the first—Kisii man to own a mirror in the 1940s. Back then, mirrors were incredibly rare in the region. Many people had never seen their own reflection. Curious men traveled from far and wide, and even paid a cow for the once-in-a-lifetime chance to look at themselves in a mirror.
