@alexstonephoto: Just picked up this 1951 Thomas Bros guide to LA County and look at this page. Trousdale Estates doesn't exist yet. That big blank spot above Beverly Hills is still the Doheny Ranch, 410 empty acres owned by the oil family that built Greystone Mansion. In 1954 developer Paul Trousdale bought the land, Beverly Hills annexed it, and it became one of the most famous neighborhoods in LA. Sinatra, Elvis, and Groucho Marx all lived there.
