Can confirm. I actually think a big factor is sesame and perilla oil. In the past 10 years food here in Korea has cut back alot because of the price. Its normally substituted with oils that don't have much flavor, taking out nutty flavor completely. But sesame and perilla oil are cheap in LA so restaurants haven't cut back.

Koreatown is one of the best neighborhoods to not be in a car. Public transit and walking is king here. You would love it!
