@typecmomera: We got this for our master bedroom because the whole house stays cool except for our bedroom. It ends up feeling like a sauna in there are due to poor insulation and it just being an older home. To relieve the burden on our central AC unit and not freeze out the rest of the house while trying to cool our bedroom we went ahead and got this window unit. Not to mention the cost to operate.
