It’s because we started buying mass produce polyester. The design and thought behind fashion has changed dramatically due to post covid over consumerism!!

Because having curves is unfashionable, so everything is made for bodies that don’t have curves. Plus, it’s cheaper to mass-produce squares of fabric and brainwash us into thinking those are suitable shirts and dresses. Then, when a good chunk of women inevitably struggle to dress because they have curves, we can shame them into believing their bodies are the problem.

definitely miss jeans with the adjustable elastic waistbands on the inside! it’s so hard to find jeans that fit me properly and i feel like that would help so much 😭

The tie dresses like this are just out of style. What we’re missing are linings, hook eye closes on zippers, bra strap holders on straps and sleeves, adjustable straps, extra length sewn into the hem for alterations, hem weights, facings, French seams, pattern matching and many other quality markers.

Even something as small as pockets is nonexistent nowadays. The amount of denim skirts I’ve bought just to find all the pockets are fake on them 💔😭

As soon as I see a tie on a dress i immediately love it, I’m three different sizes across the body so tend to size up for dresses but it means the boobs and waist always sit funny

My vintage cowl kneck dress has a weight in the centre so it sits right (literally never like any other cowl because it’s missing this) it also has bra strap clasps which is always sooooo nice

I'm afraid its the belt problem. People started wearing belts to define the waist so they stopped putting in those strings.
