1. It’s a muscle! Exercise it but don’t go straight into dead lifting 100kg! Start slow and gradually build your confidence so you don’t overwhelm yourself ♡ 2. Wear headphones. I do this all the time when I’m by myself! It means if I’m getting cat called or if people are being mean… I’m oblivious 😂💖 3. Understand people will look at you BUT this isn’t automatically a negative thing. A lot of people outside of Japan, especially in western countries, haven’t see fashion like this before and are most likely curious rather than judging you. 4. Be prepared for alot of compliments ♡ you’ll most likely have a lot of little girls and older women approach you. 5. If you get a negative reaction, remember it says more about them then you. You have one life, express yourself how you want to and wear what you like xx 6. When you are starting to wear it and are building your confidence, go out with a friend! It makes it a lot less daunting. Strength in numbers! 7. Get involved in your local communities and go to meet ups! Online communities are wonderful too but nothing can replace the sense of belonging an irl meet up with your community. 8. Walk with confidence and your head held high! Don’t slump or look down. Walk like you deserve to exist in the clothes you love and trust me no one will question you.
