the patriot :
no it's not near enough, how can you feed yourself, heat your home,pay your electricity bill, clothes, run a car to get to doctors and hospital appointments, pay for rubbish bins, keep your home repaired, and all that is before you think of your grandchildren birthdays days out ect. nothing in that for your own social life or a holiday, and only the tip of the iceberg.

€299.30 contributory pension after 45 years working and paying stamp and €288 non contributory for doing nothing.Its pure madness after working your hole life.If you work and pay tax for years you should get a lot more.

What people need to realize that when one pensioner dies the surviving spouse only get €299. Yet the bills are exactly the same as when they had double that

yes you have paid a stamp all your life maybe 40 or 50 years work behind you ,and the person who never worked on their lives get their pension of only 10 or 15 euros less !! Something very wrong there😡🤬

Two things 1 if you are on state pension only you should qualify for medical card fule allowance and other allowances 2 people should not aim to live off state pension alone it's not enough

No it's not enough to live on, Iam 66 next year ,I work 3 days a week. I can't see myself retireing , how can anybody live on that. Scary .
