The opposite of anxiety isn't calm. It's tolerance. Learning to sit with uncertainty without letting it run the show. Most of your patterns made sense once. They were built for a version of your life that no longer exists. Understanding that changes how you see yourself. Avoidance always works in the short term.. that's exactly why it's so hard to stop. But every time you avoid, you teach your brain the thing was dangerous. You can't pour from an empty cup. And you cannot think your way to a full one. Rest isn't a reward. It's a requirement. Insight alone doesn't create change. Repetition does. You don't think your way into a new pattern. You practise your way there. And the most important thing, you are not your thoughts, your history, or your hardest moments.
