My partner is in the same situation. Here 9 years almost. Got PhD. Impossible to find job in his field for years. So draining. His visa expires in January and he is in a process of doing global talent. It’s just 💩 that current visa expires 6 months before he can apply for settlement….

I sensed an impending doom by my gut feelings, right before my graduation. I firmly decided that I am not going to take the PSW visa and left the UK as soon as my masters was done. Sometimes i feel terrible, thinking about the life I curated for myself there. But I believe this random strong gut feeling was a redirection from God. Best wishes for your future too. ❤️

I know this won’t be what you want to hear but I’m sure this is the universe giving you a sign. Things aren’t good in the UK and it’s only going to get worse. You have the experience, it’s on your CV, it’s part of your story and you’ll be able to use that moving forward. This could be the best thing that ever happened for you. Go into it with an open mind and I’m wishing you all the best. And if you want to come back, it doesn’t have to be goodbye from the UK forever. You can always come back in the future ❤️
