I just started this today😏 I got a warehouse job, I was doing three things so the order came out fast. my table was full and my boss had to come in and pack it all up cuz I'm done my back is killing me🤷♀️

20 years in dental. Now that I left, this is one of my biggest lessons! Upper management never remembers all the times you saved their asses when getting the extra thing done. They are paying for a job- the “job” will always get done whether you’re short staffed, running behind, or whatever the situation is. Figure out what your boundaries are.

One of my coworkers quit my manager comes to me and says they will need me to take over her book of business temporarily. I then asked how much will I be compensated for taking on an additional book of business? She later comes back and tells me that she will take over the book until they hire someone else. If your job is asking for additional work, they need to provide additional funds. I will not work for free.
