Filipinos here! Our combined income 41k, rent 3k/month. We eat out twice a month, cook at home, take two week-long trips a year (5k each, excluding flights). We prioritize investing ETFs and land back home in the Philippines, but still enjoy life within limits. We don’t shop much: our shoes are 3-4 years old because we buy quality that lasts. Concert tickets? General admission. The goal: enjoy, but with discipline. Our goal is to retire early. We must keep that goal 🙌

Agree with rent and transportation points. My personal hack: Don’t keep more than 2k in your everyday spending account, it is very easy to overspend if you see all your savings there😅

Zero based budgeting - my salary is allocated down to the last dirham. I have a number of goals in my LIV account, emer fund, cats, car repair, sinking funds, rent, food, etc.. they all earn interest. I'm not frugal, but practical. I bought a 2nd hand car. My housing allowance is of decent amount, but I only spent half of it, for a studio incl bills. The rest goes to savings.

try this or adjust according to your needs, salary = 30%investment,50%expenses,10%emergency (emergency 3 times your salary),10%wants, once emergency is filled up then you can add more to investment or wants
