Family honour and traditions but it's in reality just girls being abused and told they are just future wives and being forced to work every day of their lives while boys are held in much higher regard and being praised for behaviour that would get us, girls, beaten and publicly shamed

Family honour is not very much valued ir defended in Croatia🤦🏼‍♀️It desirable to uphold family values, but if not-f.ck it....shit happens🤷🏼‍♀️It is not remotely a situation like in Afganistan, Pakistan or other Muslim countries! Far, far from it....

my family member was talking about her classmate or friend, can't really remember, who beat up her boyfriend and she laughed while telling the story... her seeing his face bruised when he clocked into work... and all I could think of was that guy has nowhere to go. he has no one to turn to when he gets abused by a woman, because no one sees anything wrong with it, and no one will help him. we are genuinely so archaic as a society
