I had a friend for 20 years they walked away 2 years later she apologized and said she was like I was going through it I said okay I understand but I never forgot how easy it was for her to walk away and never went back

I had a friendship with someone once. We had been friends since high school, they knew my family, I knew theirs and two years ago my Mom passed away. Before she died she asked that person if they would come see her and they didn't. They never came to her funeral either. And when I asked them why they got defensive, blamed me and then blocked me on social media. I seen them out in public afterwards and they tried to act like we're still friends. I simply looked at them & said I'm sorry do I know u?? And walked away. They were never my friend & that was a hard lesson to learn.
