After a C-section, your body is stitched in layers (inside and outside). The inside stitches usually heal quietly, but sometimes there may be a problem. These are warning signs you should not ignore: 1. Severe tummy pain that keeps getting worse Not normal small pain Pain feels deep inside and sharp Pain does not go away even after rest or medicine 2. Swelling or hardness in the lower abdomen Your lower belly may feel hard, tight, or swollen It may be painful when you touch it 3. Fever (high body temperature) Feeling very hot or cold (shivering) This may mean infection inside 4. Foul-smelling vaginal discharge Bad smell coming from the vagina Discharge may look yellow, green, or unusual 5. Heavy bleeding bleeding more than normal after delivery Passing large blood clots 6. Feeling very weak or dizzy You may feel like you want to faint Body feels too tired suddenly 7. Fast heartbeat or difficulty breathing Heart beating very fast Feeling like you can’t breathe well 8. Pus or unusual fluid (rare but serious) Though inside is not visible, sometimes infection may spread and show through other symptoms ⚠️ Important: If you notice any of these signs, go to the hospital immediately.
