I left this in your feminism video but it may have gotten lost in the comment section. Pasting it here bc I'd like to hear your opinion:I think the question is do women want to be equal to men in a patriarchal society, or do we want to eliminate patriarchy? Because becoming equal in patriarchy means becoming part of the oppressive class. So the question is, is the end goal to stop being the underclass, or to eliminate the structures that create an underclass in the first place, regardless of the gender of the people in that underclass? Because if you want equality, it should be for ALL people, otherwise you're working for yourself and people who look like you & saying fuck those who don't. Which is kinda what happened with the first wave of feminism: white women got the right to vote & many decided that was enough, despite the fact that other races of women hadn't and lower classes of women didn't have as much ability to practice that freedom as richer white women. Same with access to education & careers. If you don't believe in liberation for all from the patriarchy & capitalism, then you risk recreating the same harmful structures under women-led societies, which is why many people on this app keep sharing examples of their matriarchal/matrilineal communities that have the same oppressivenesses as patriarchal/patrilineal ones.
