this is flawed. the air flow is already heavily distorted as it flows above cockpit and engine cover and bodyworks. it wouldn't be like this

My theory is direction of rotation. The RB wing doesn't need to rotate as much as the Ferrari's but it presents a concave shape during the transition. It helps open the wing during DRS usage but acts like a parachute and resists the actuator when closing
