Those ceiling fans are "NOT" Recommend for a flex light fitting ONLY a fixed light socket.You need to warn people of that.

I brought one of these and the flex has twisted like yours has so had to take it down, gutted really as they’re quite effective.

in 30 degrees, these just blowing hit air around . Good for 20 degrees but mount it to the ceiling.
