There are so many hair care products out there, and I get asked all the time what I use. Purple shampoos, silver shampoos, conditioners... the choices can be overwhelming. Here's my take: it really depends on your gray hair. Not all gray hair is the same. Some women are more salt and pepper, some are mostly pepper, some have bright white silver, and others have a softer platinum gray. Because every head of gray hair is different, what works for one person may not work for another. For me, because my hair is very light and white, I have to stay on top of yellowing. Yellow tones show up much more on lighter gray hair, so I use Olaplex No. 4P Blonde Enhancer Toning Shampoo to keep my silver bright. I tried several different purple shampoos when I first started my gray hair journey, but none of them gave me the results that @Olaplex did. It keeps my hair bright without drying it out, and I get so many compliments on my hair. At the end of the day, my philosophy is simple: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
