Event yang menjadi bagian dari peringatan HUT ke-33 Lubuk Basung sebagai Ibu Kota Kabupaten Agam ini resmi dilepas oleh Bupati Agam, Benni Warlis. Meski hujan mengguyur sejak pagi, semangat para rider tak surut menghadapi jalur penuh tanjakan, turunan, dan lintasan berlumpur. "Jarak tempuh 33 kilometer menjadi simbol 33 tahun perjalanan Lubuk Basung sebagai ibu kota, dengan lintasan yang penuh tantangan," ujar Bupati.
