I was diagnosed ADHD in like 1998 or 1999, I’ve recently started thinking that maybe I’m Autistic also. My grandfather was most definitely Autistic. Though very high functioning.

I have been diagnosed with CPTSD, major depressive disorder, anxiety and bipolar 1. I am getting an autism assessment because the meds never work, and I keep getting new things added to my list of issues. I have really bad sensory issues lately, bright lights make me nauseous, some textures are so uncomfortable for me and I have a favorite fork and burner.

I got diagnosed with ADD back in 2000(yes I know it's all ADHD now) when i was 11, and I got diagnosed with Autism at 28. When I got medicated for my ADHD this year for the first time ever at 37 my autistic traits became more pronounced. kinda cool imo

My family is sorting through this now. My brother def autistic with adhd organizational problems. My sister and I both got adhd diags this year. With treatment, she’s finding her history with anxiety and pattern recognition are probably signs of autism. I’m recognizing that my sensitivities and overstims are probably not just adhd. I don’t ’struggle’ with eye contact… but I sure to think about it a lot 😳. I can only make left eye to right eye contact, like fully facing, with some people. It’s the borderlands. And we’re each in different parts of the spectrum. A mosaic.

she right about diagnostic manual was tested in 1982 for atypical autism, but with adhd instead. Got tested again in 2024 was diagnosed with both conditions at age 46. At 4 years in 1982 have adhd here ritalin good bye!

initially diagnosed at 22 with arfid, gad, mdd, and cptsd. then the first time i met my ex she immediately clocked me and thought i was autistic (she lives with her autistic uncle and autistic cousin) and my therapist's sister was just diagnosed with autism around the same time she took me on and was curious about that too bc she saw similarities between me and her sister. got tested at 23 and evaluator just said im severely depressed and everything else im dx with. then tested for adhd at 25 and was diagnosed and that evaluator said i had some autistic traits but her practice doesnt test for that. still wasnt seeing any real effects of ssris so my psychiatrist was thinking that could also potentially be bc autism. i do feel like audhd is the bigger picture here for me

I was diagnosed in 87 of adhd just on stage 2 for autism assessment. No one ever asked me what I struggled with just hat they saw or how different I was.
