Grief is like a stone in your pocket that’s always there. It weighs you down, but as time passes, you learn to live with that weight. My Nana raised me like her son, when she died, I cried everyday seeing things that reminded me of her. I cried seeing other people happy with their grandparents, I cried seeing flowers that reminded me of her, I cried leaving to school and work everyday. I would cry because I was remidned me of what I lost. Until one day, I came to the realisation that while she’s no longer here physically, the things that remind me of her tell me that she’s still with me. They show me that she still loves me. I hope you find things that show you your mama is with you too.
