I go to work, clock in, do just enough work so I don’t get fired but not enough work to become important. Then I clock out and go home. My job has this feature where if I finish all my work, then I get to finish all my coworkers work as well. We all get paid the same. Why do I need to bust my arse to do more work than is necessary. I don’t.

I received a stellar performance review at the company I’d been with for 13 years and then got laid off a month later because the “Board of Investors” decided they didn’t need 15% of their “family” (because they called us family, you know). Anyways… that was 2017 and I haven’t received a good review anywhere since. Do just enough to not get fired. Prioritize yourself because the company you work for damn sure won’t, and they WILL replace you tomorrow if you leave. 😎💯

I always got great reviews to the point they'd send other people home early and give them weekends off because they would rather have me there all the time, no raises, no benefits, nothing. now i just do the bare minimum Monday through Friday and im always sick on Saturdays. just got $1 raise to motivate me to be outstanding again. yeah, no

I’ve told potential bosses at interviews that they were being interviewed as well. I said as my main goal: I’m looking for somewhere permanent where we can both be happy & thrive. I get the look 😳 but I get the job. No hard feelings but tbh, Ima leave for the same goal. ♥️

I get the same raise as others who do not get there job done. So I just don't work as hard and I still get my work load done.

I did that one time years and years ago. I was always really great at all the jobs I had , except this one where I was terrible (it was when I was first starting my own company so that's probably why). I got called into the office and basically did exactly what this employee in the cartoon is doing. 🤣

I stopped going above and beyond when I was told we don't give raises. No matter how good of an employee you are. 18.5 years left and never receiveda raise. Note to the up and coming. Never stay more than 5 years at a corporate job. The bigger the corporation the worse it is. 😒
