You need to stop running away from the in-between. It’s where you’re in the absence of highs and lows, and your mind is doing everything in its power to classify it into either category. If you don’t know a life without constantly being stimulated by extreme outcomes and accomplishments/pressures, you’ll feel like something is off. You need to learn to regulate your nervous system when you’re in an era of BUILDING. Biggest one for me, building a business or making content. If I’m going without making money or I’m not making any content, but I’m doing tons of foundational work in these areas of my life… day after day I still haven’t seen results because it’s too early in the process, or some days content hits and some days it falls off, I notice I’m in such a hectic mindset because it feels like everyone else is reaching milestones and I’m not. Everyone else is making money and I’m not. But I realized it’s just where I’m CURRENTLY at in the process. We get so caught up in the endless in-between stages that we try to fill it with entertainment, stimulation, dopamine hits that give us the same feeling. Life is an endless chase of highs and lows that, at the core, produce the same brain chemical, the packaging and delivery just look different. So we need to learn to self-soothe and regulate, and not become dependent on these outside factors to determine our worth and fulfillment/actualization. You can do all of that for yourself right here and right now. 🫶🏼 My skits are full created by me: Written, Acted, Gaffed/Gripped, DP’d , Directed, Costume Styled, Sound, Edited, Colored: me ✨ Song: Stand By Me - Ben E. King #cinematography #acting #screenwriting #thrivinginchaos #filmmaking
