@birmingham.live: A long-time staff member of a Birmingham pub that shut suddenly on Monday has spoken of their 'devastation' to find out the pub was closing from customers hours before they were formally told.  A worker at The Billesley pub on Brook Lane told BirminghamLive that brewery Greene King had arranged to put shutters up at the Hungry Horse pub on Monday morning at around 7am, four hours before a staff meeting to reveal the pub had ceased trading. The Billesley has been a Hungry Horse pub since 2013 and many of the staff members have worked there for a number of years, with its Billesley Rock Club upstairs an iconic live music venue. #billesley #kingshea #birmingham
