#worldmusic #bonnietyler #musicasinesqueciveis #anos80 #80smusic

When Scarlett laid down to have her first foal she didn't know he wouldn't have the ability to stand on his own. She didn't understand why he couldn't just get up like the other foals she had been watching the other mares have. Even assisted she tried to mother him but he couldn't stand long enough to nurse, long enough for her to luck and nuzzle him like nature wanted her to do. Even as a first time mother she never left his side. She never gave up on him and I could tell right away that he was born with her same heart and try. It's not normal for a newborn foal to not be able to stand on their own and my heart was sinking as I was thinking of the reality of this situation but he never stopped fighting. As you can see from his bed sores, he fought as hard as his little heart could, trying to nurse even while laying on the ground in the stall. I knew we couldn't give up on him so we made the trip to the Weems & Stephens Equine Hospital, knowing if he had any chance at all it would be there. Prayers were said by many that day and we left the hospital with tears in our eyes, knowing the kind of decision I was most likely to have to make that night or by the next morning. However, that phone call never came that night. It never came the next morning. It was closer to lunch time I got the call that he still couldn't get up or stand on his own but was still fighting and getting stronger! We all agreed to keep fighting as long as he kept fighting. Another 24 hours later I got another call that he was still struggling to get up but could stand and nurse on his own with some assistance!! I was still trying not to get my hopes up but at least everything was going in a positive direction! By day 3 I got the call that this strong willed young man was getting up on his own, walking over to his patient mother and nursing on his own!!! A true miracle of God 🙏 He's still on antibiotics and his poor little bed sores are being treated and wrapped but here he is, HIS FIRST DAY OUTSIDE!! His momma, who never gave up on him can now, proudly, walk around with him at her side ❤️ #shiningcgrullahorses #bredandraised #BlackVoodooDr #colt #blessed 🙏
