But however, Indrive could still survive because of flexibility. Train and Bus systems are very time sensitive and for someone who isn’t really looking for that will still use Indrive. What I see is coExistence and decongesting the road system especially for the working class. Another factor is that congestion from places like Norton, Ruwa, Chitungwiza and other high density areas surrounding Harare will need to be addressed that means the train system should start from the congested areas. Just a thought

I mean uber still exists in developed countries. Also these services won't operate like within suburbs. They can upgrade to delivery services like door dash

You have a major point and to a large extent I agree but even in efficient transport systems gaps still exist. The distance from the train station to the bus that takes you home, the distance from the bus stop to your home, when buses stop moving after 11pm, when it’s raining or cold and you want to get home fast and be warm etc.

but the government in question does not deliver on a very short turnaround time like that, remember Harare was to be a world class city by 2025 now we are in 2026. 2029 will be like 2039

The other thing you are likely not paying attention too is the current consumer pays for convenience. Trains, Buses and the like will serve those people who are currently using makombi. Majority of people who tie their economy to time have their own cars or use Indrive and so offering buses and what what will only serve those already on the public transport front. You look at countries with already functional systems they still have Uber so the chances of Indrive losing its current hold on the market is very very low
