Hurricane Category 2 Rachel and Tropical Disturbance 1🌀 (Rachel reintensified back to Hurricane Category 2 due to the conditions being favorable again after crossing the cold wake of the Former Major Hurricane Category 5 Polo (which i monitored before). Rachel will maintain the strength till early morning at Philippine Time while Disturbance 1 has 90% chance of being Tropical Depression in 7 Days🌀!) || Song: bevlynous (Slowed) Information for Hurricane Category 2 Rachel🌀: (from NHC) ⚠️ This is a dangerous system. Possible hazards include damaging winds, heavy rainfall, storm surge, rough seas, mudslides, and flash flooding. Rachel has not changed much during the past several hours. The hurricane continues to have a well established inner core, but the eye has become a little more cloud-filled and ragged compared to this morning (4 October). The latest satellite intensity estimates range from 85 to 110 mph (97 knots), and based on that data and the relatively steady state appearance of the system, the initial intensity is held at 105 mph (90 knots). A 16:16 UTC ASCAT-B was helpful in adjusting the initial wind radii. The hurricane has turned westward over the past several hours, with the initial motion now estimated to be 270/5 knots. A high pressure system to the north of Rachel should keep the system on a slow westward track through the middle of the week. After that time, the high is expected to weaken and shift eastward as a trough cuts off near the southern California coast, which should allow Rachel to turn back to the west-northwest by the end of the week. Little change was made to the previous track forecast, and this one lies near the best-performing models of the year so far, HCCA and GDMI. Information for Tropical Disturbance 1🌀: (from NHC) Disturbance 1 is currently located near southern Mexico. The system has a 30% chance of developing into a tropical depression or tropical storm in the next 2 days, and a 90% chance in the next 7 days. What is a Disturbance? A Disturbance is an area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms that could develop into a tropical depression or tropical storm. It has not yet been designated as an Invest. South of Southern Mexico: A broad area of low pressure is located just to the south of the Gulf of Tehuantepec. Environmental conditions appear favorable for gradual development, and a tropical depression is expected to form during the middle to latter portion of the week while the system moves slowly west-northwestward to northwestward, just offshore of the southern to southwestern coast of Mexico. #hurricane #tropicaldisturbance #weatherupdate #foryoupage❤️❤️ #xyzbca
