In 1712, the inconvenience of having a separate calendar became apparent, so they reverted to the Julian calendar by adding a day: February 30, 1712.

Julian Calendar Christmas is still celebrated in Russia, but not in the way of Western one. Santa with presents thing is for New Years. But Christmas is on January 7th, so quite far from Spring

It should have been 13 days in the first place but because the Carolingians made up the Middle Ages (300 years) they only corrected 10. Pope Gregory was on board of that scam and because nobody really was able to read nobody knew.
