It signals that market order flow may be changing, but not every break of structure is a valid MSS. Learning the difference helps traders avoid low-probability entries. ✅ What Makes a Valid MSS? A valid MSS usually includes these conditions: A clear liquidity sweep (equal highs/lows, previous day high/low, session liquidity, etc.). Strong displacement with large impulsive candles. A decisive break of the most recent swing structure. Fair Value Gap (FVG) or Imbalance created during displacement. Confirmation from higher-timeframe bias. Entry after retracement into a PD Array (FVG, Order Block, Breaker, etc.). When these elements align, the probability of a successful reversal or continuation increases. ❌ What Makes an Invalid MSS? An MSS is considered weak or invalid when: Structure is broken without taking liquidity first. The break happens with weak momentum or small candles. No displacement or imbalance is created. Price immediately returns below/above the broken structure. It goes against the higher-timeframe narrative. The break occurs during low-liquidity or ranging market conditions.
