my dad shorted SNDK at 150$ 200 shares. He didn’t buy back until 400$ because he was too greedy and thought it will drop.

i don't do calls/puts/shorts/etc. more into investing than trading but say you short a stock with 5 grand, how can you lose more than 5 grand, i know the stock can keep going up but like what happens

the worst part of shorting a stock is you need MARGIN. u cannot short without borrowing. thats the worst thing

Shorting a stock is a investing man’s gamble. You don’t expect to make 10x, that’s the same reason you don’t put a large % of your portfolio into it.
