Aventurine had the choice to join the Masked Fools instead, but he rejected them for the IPC. He did choose the IPC, and while he hates himself for it, he conversely still likes his job enough to stick with it.

I see what you’re getting at and I agree with you but Aventurine very much did choose to join the IPC. He went to great lengths to get that audience with Jade. We don’t know his exact motivations behind it then or if he regrets that decision now, but at one point he did want to join them. Imo I think it just makes him even more interesting and realistic

i always think about a comment or video i saw that said Aventurine on traded his rusted shakles for golden ones, he isn't free by any means, sure he has more freedom than before but he's still under the beconing call of the ipc

like be so fr yes he's making the most out of being an ipc member because he was forced to become opportunistic to survive, i think if he had the chance to be with his family and have a normal life he'd give up everything for that. i hate his mischaracterisation

its still so sickening to think that if he were to quit his job he quite literally has a 100% d**thrate bc of the deal that Jade has brought up right before his execution many years ago. he literally has no way out of this but work for the ipc as a s/av3 but this time more indirectly (?) i might b wrong

WRONG. I hate people watering down aventurine cruelty that just erase his self hatred, interest and ironic lore he lit the definition of “u’ve became what u hate to survive” stop makin characters innocent just to be love, i’m capable to love him just the way he is and his tendencies to scam and deceit people for his own interest and i think u should too.

Can't I just say the same for Jade? She was forced to be in the IPC, as every stoneheart was. Just because she is doing her job doesn't make her evil like the IPC, since she's forced to be doing it just like Aventurine. Because of this, every stoneheart is morally grey. None are inherently evil yet are still working for a malicious company.

He did choose cause he was offered a mask at some point and he specifically chose to get the IPCs attention out of every faction he could have tried this is still a morally gray choice because he didnt chose the IPC for personal gain he chose it so he could have the easiest route to get power and money to help the Avgins
