@lifewithannaeliza: I think we’ve forgotten just how holy the ordinary work of motherhood really is. Motherhood is a calling. Yes, you may be in the thick of it with young children. It may feel challenging, exhausting, and heavy at times, and it is still a calling. If you are a mom, this is what you have been called to in this season of your life. That doesn’t mean you’ll never be called to something else, or that you aren’t also called to other things. But the work of being a mother to your children is deeply important. You are impacting generations with the way you care for your children each day. You are shaping the future by the way you love them. When we zoom out from the mundane tasks, the piles of laundry, the breakfast dishes, and the ordinary moments that fill our days, we begin to see the bigger picture. We are one small part of a much bigger story, and the love we pour into our families today will ripple far beyond what we can see. The beautiful thing is that it’s usually not the big moments that shape a childhood. It’s the ordinary ones. It’s serving breakfast. It’s saying, “Good morning.” It’s the hug after they fall off their bike. It’s the words we choose when we’re frustrated. It’s the way we speak to our spouse. It’s the atmosphere we create in our home. Day after day, we are showing our children what it looks like to love others, to love the life we’ve been given, and to love God. That is holy work. So the next time you catch yourself feeling frustrated by the mundane (as I’m sure I will later today), remind yourself that you are walking in your calling. In this season, you are exactly where you’re meant to be. The world may never applaud the work you’re doing today, but God sees it. And the work you’re doing matters more than you know. If this encouraged you, send it to a mom who needs the reminder today. 🤍 #christianmothers #ugcmom #ordinarymoments #walkinyourpurpose #ugcusa
