i'm sorry guys, but this movie adaptation version isn't really accurate to the original comic version written by gerard way. they have very different personality and it feels like they're different characters with only similarities being their name and background stories. so if you want to appreciate this movie version specifically, i recommend you to praise the movie writer too, phil lord. because a lot of what you like comes from phil lord and the movie's creative team, not solely from gerard way's original characterization 😄
