Now that I think about it, Pink says you should hide the eggs and you actually can, is not like they can stay in your inventory forever. You can give them to Temmie and they accumulate, you can put one in Asgore's fridge, etc, you have various ways of hiding them in the lightworld. Maybe she means that, since ofc you can't hide the one in ch5 because you can't interact with something to hide it in after the darkworld. So yeah probably we're doing good, unless Friend can go get them outside the darkworlds..
