Anyone who thinks other people should do something after being insulted is insane. I’m not forcing anyone to work at that restaurant nor did I negotiate their wages. I’m trading the agreed upon dollar amount for the food they are serving and selling.

I grew up in poverty, and one of the best parts of reaching a kind of financial success and security that I couldn’t have imagined as a child is the ability to tip 50%+ every time. Like, it’s the best feeling to be able to do that for other people, and in my opinion, if that type of thing isn’t one of the best parts of financial success for you, you don’t deserve it.
