I just had my gallbladder taken out two days ago and it was a whole process to find out mines not even working. I lost 15 pounds and it was horrible. All of my test came back fine but they went in there. They said my gallbladder was completely locked off and it was the problem. It was horrible. They even asked me to another hospital to get it removed, but the big hospital said that wasn’t the problem.

Seems like their doing everything for you! Not sure what the concern is here… CHS is very real and common. Just because you don’t like their diagnosis doesn’t mean it’s not your diagnosis. Looks like they do have a scan scheduled for you too!

If you sign out AMA, insurance will not pay. You had an ultrasound, that is more definitive for gallbladder. Signed, an ER nurse.

if you had an abdomen ultrasound the gallbladder was looked at. thats protocol. Maybe the gallbladder looked fine.

they’re rated one of the best hospitals next to Troy, i’ve always had a pleasant experience with them and delivered my 2 sons there

Leave and go to Trinity Oakland in Pontiac!! Best hospital in my opinion they’ve done every test I’ve ever asked for.

CHS is really real. I am admitted at RO corewell. I have Gastroparesis and 10+ chronic illnesses this hospital has been great with treating me and always helping to replace my two medical devices and have done well managing my TPN formula for my PICC and my tube feeds lol. CHS is something common now a days. Just get them to do the scan and push. Idk. Or you could leave ama. Things get pushed back or take longer bc there critical patients and the hospital is overflowed currently and it’s understaffed.

Hida scans aren’t done inpatient. I understand you want answers. They can do ultrasounds, CTs, and MRIs. Hida scans are only done as an outpatient. My gallbladder went bad while I was in high school. I had to go on home/hospital teaching because I couldn’t keep anything down - even things that most people who have gallbladders that don’t function well. Even with as sick as I was, the hida scan was still done outpatient.
