When I used to work in hospital I would often have 8 or more patients at a time - 4 was considered the safe ratio on that unit. I remember struggling to find time to take care of people the way I wanted to. 🥺

hospitals are private in Ontario, as they all are in Canada. it's just that they rely on govt Medicare (single payer insurance) to pay them appropriately. which the Ontario govt is not.
