I’ve got my Friends Files. Each friend has a note of likes and dislikes, family situation overview etc. I had a friend go through something incredibly traumatic, I’m over 5 hours away. I was able to get her a delivery of dinner, keeping in mind all the family’s preferences and allergies so she didn’t have to deal with any dinner complaint dramas, and got her a whole bunch of her favourite comfort things. I was in the middle of an emergency situation at work so it took all the thinking out of it and helped me be there for her in a meaningful way without jeopardising what I needed to do as well. Friends Files is one of the best underrated things
