I was in a charity shop and found a brand new discontinued limited edition nail polish I had been after for years, and it was £1. In the same charity shop, I found a top that was just my style, but in the wrong size, I go to put it back and I see the same top, but in my exact size. All of this amazing luck, and I felt nothing. I bought the top and the nail polish, went home, and made an appointment with my doctor to get back on my medication

man i wish i had insurance so I could see a doctor ☹️i wanna figure out what’s wrong w my brain bc literally Sally face 2 trailer came out yesterday, which is a video game sequel of my favorite video game ever that helped me through a hard time of my childhood and it felt so hard to be excited or happy for it. it’s so hard to think of anything and be positive about it I can’t find a point 😞 I just wanna get better bruh

It's been years for me. I think thats one of the reasons why I got sober because I just didn't get joy from it anymore. I got nothing from it anymore either way, just didn't see the point. It's not depression. I don't care enough to be depressed. I'm not sad about it either. I just exist, and I would say I'm fine with that but I don't care enough either way. It is what it is, I'm used to it now 🙂🙃

I'm glad you mentioned depression. I'm a double depressive and meh/blah is my natural state. The last time I felt happiness was sometime in the 90's.

i thought i experienced this when i was depressed but it was mostly a reaction to my meds. it just felt like bad things and good things didn't really matter and honestly that was already awful by itself but anhedonia sounds so much worse somehow. i'm really sorry you went through that. wishing you the best always ♡

I really love your stories. I know you’re having a rough time lately and I’m here for you, as a stranger, on the internets. Wait… it’s not just depression? I’ve always said my happy is someone else’s neutral normal. I’ve been sober 10 years, but also have PTSD and MDD (who would have thunk traumatic things happen during addiction?🤣) I’ve never had the word for what I feel until you explained it.
