![Grammy-winning rapper Macklemore has officially been dropped from Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour on Monday (14/9) after he expressed pro-Palestine sentiments onstage at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium. Macklemore said in a statement on Instagram that owners of multiple stadiums in the United States contacted the promoter for Sheeran’s tour and said that if Macklemore is part of the tour, Sheeran would not be allowed to perform at any of the stadiums he was set to play. At the end of his statement, Macklemore states, “I didn’t need 10 shows from Ed. I needed 2. Two chances to stand in front of 90,000 people and say the words that somehow became too dangerous to say.
